Faction Warfare 101
FW is where SLINS cuts its teeth: constant PvP, steady LP/ISK, and a perfect training ground for new warriors.
How FW Works
- Militia vs Militia: Minmatar vs Amarr; Gallente vs Caldari.
- System Control: Capture complexes (“plexes”) to flip the warzone.
- Rewards: ISK via LP payouts + constant fights.
Plex Sizes & Ships
- Novice: T1 frigates only
- Small: Frigs + destroyers
- Medium: Cruisers (no BS)
- Large: No gate restrictions
Quick Start
- Fit a cheap T1 frigate (AB + scram/web + small rep).
- Undock with ammo, paste, and nanite.
- Use d-scan every few seconds; watch local.
Tip: In a novice plex, orbit the beacon at ~20km with AB to live longer.
How Plexing Works
- Warp to a plex in an FW system and enter the gate (size-limited).
- Inside, orbit the capture beacon until the timer finishes.
- If enemy militia enters, the timer pauses — that’s your fight.
- Offensive plexing (enemy space) pays most LP; defensive is safer.
Making ISK in FW
Plexing
Run offensive plexes for higher LP. Defensive plexes are lower risk but pay less.
FW Missions
Courier/kill missions with big LP payouts. Great once you know the routes.
LP → ISK
Flip LP into faction hulls/modules (e.g., Firetail, RF mods) and sell in Hek or Jita.
Fighting in the Warzone
- Expect losses. That’s normal — fights are cheap and frequent.
- Fly the meta. Frigs/destroyers/cruisers shine; SLINS doctrines overlap FW.
- Comms & Intel. Be on Discord; d-scan and local are life.
